Agency-Wide Digital Transformation

Executive Sponsor · Product Owner · Project Manager

  • Led the agency-wide transformation replacing manual and legacy processes with modern platforms, strengthening IT governance and data security.
  • Directed enterprise implementations of Salesforce, AWS Connect, SAP Concur and MuleSoft.
  • Upgraded network, infrastructure and endpoint security to a Zero-Trust architecture.
  • Introduced business intelligence with Tableau, producing dashboards for executive decision-making.
  • Rolled out macOS and Android alongside the existing device environment, with Mobile Device Management to secure and patch the fleet.

Communications Resiliency Overhaul

First in the nation
  • Made the MIA the first Department of Insurance in the country admitted to the U.S. Department of Commerce's FirstNet program, giving the agency a federally backed network for disaster operations. Led configuration and deployment to end users.
  • Migrated an end-of-life on-premises VoIP system to cloud Zoom Phone, improving call workflow and security.
  • Implemented Starlink as a redundant connectivity layer so the agency could keep serving Maryland residents during emergencies.

Contact Center Modernization

Program Lead

  • Rebuilt the agency's public-facing contact center on a new ticketing platform (Freshdesk) and VoIP solution (8x8).
  • Streamlined constituent service workflows and improved collaboration across departments.
  • Authored and maintained the agency's Continuity of Operations Plan, and coordinated agency operations through the COVID-19 response.
